Where to Start...

Has it only been two days since we closed? It has been a loooong two days. We are all moved, but not even approaching unpacked. Our neighborhood is wonderful! One family across the street has three boys six and under, how cool is that? Both neighbors across the street gave us permission to use their yards to get to the state land behind that has miles and miles of trails. Also, we found out the lake that we are next to DOES have a swimming area (ab0ut a five minute walk ). We thought there was only a boat access.

Now the hard part is stairs. We've never had them before and they are too wide for an ordinary baby gate. Also, i'm used to sleeping in a bedroom next to the boys room, its weird sleeping so far from them at night.

Another issue here is the mosquitos! They are many...and big! We already talked to a neighbor who collects money from familys who want their yard sprayed. They say it works and sellers left us a note that says it works also.

On another note, Tanya had her baby girl this morning! She is beautiful and she came on the day I guessed! :D

A Blog You Say?

Oh yeah, now I remember...I have one.

Well, from the minute I hit "publish" on my last post this week pretty much went downhill. First, our closing (which was supposed to have been on Wed) kept getting pushed back. Now it's not until Tuesday.

Then the weather this week has been nothing but rain. Which means the boys have to burn off all their energy indoors. That doesn't exactly soothe nerves that are already frazzled.

Then there is my back. Long story. Suffice it to say that it contributed greatly to my bad week.

Then yesterday my friend calls wondering if i'd heard our pediatrician was leaving. What?? That is not good news.

Anyway, the good news is that everything is set for our Tuesday closing. Now we have to pack.

I do want to thank everyone for the Birthday wishes. The boys were amazing while getting their pictures taken. We had no problems at all and I can't wait to get the pictures.

Birthday Queen

I'm 29 today. This is the last year of my "twenty somethings". I have to get a new license and bring the boys to get their picture taken. The best part is that is Jeremiah is getting me a serger for my birthday! We generally don't buy such expensive gifts, but he worked 30 hours of OT last week and he really wants to get it for me for my birthday. I have wanted a serger for a looong time. I get to pick one out when we go get the boys picture taken. In case your wondering, a serger is a type of sewing machine.

Also, I meant to have Jeremiah snap a picture of me and the boys yesterday on Mother's Day but never got around to it. Turns out, I didn't have to because Sandy posted one. Thanks Sandy, its a great picture!

Diaper Cake

I'm the first to admit that when I undertake these sorts of things, they rarely turn out like I imagine in my head. However, this diaper cake came together exactly as I was picturing it. I made it for my friend's baby shower. Posted by Picasa

Have You Hugged Your Corrections Officer Today?

May 7-13 is National Corrections Officer Week

Hopefully, unless you are married or related to one, you don't have a corrections officer in your life. Posted by Picasa

It's May!

May is the prettiest name for a month. I've always been glad I was born in May, its such a dainty, spring-y, girly month to be born in. Its just a nice month to say... "May". I love having an emerald birthstone, it goes perfect with my hair. May weather is perfect. Its warm and beautiful outside, but not yet hot. Lilacs usually bloom in May (although ours bloomed last year in June). Our lilac bushes are already green, i'm hoping they might show up before we move. We celebrate Mother's Day in May, I couldn't think of a better month to celebrate motherhood.

Thats my Ode to May.
