Where have we been??

Outside!! What a difference Spring makes. An hour or two outside and the boys fall asleep almost as soon as their heads hit the pillow at night. I am thoroughly enjoying my walks outside (the treadmill is just not the same). I feel like our living space has quadrupled. Its lovely!

I can't wait to start my container garden. Two years ago I grew some awesome tomatoes. I'm thinking about doing this.

I let Isaac and Elijah pick out t-shirts at Children's Place today during a sale. Wow! Who would of thought shopping with 3 and 5 year old boys could be so hard! They changed their minds about 10 times. Posted by Hello

Thoughts of a 5 Year Old

Today as Isaac watched me sweep the kitchen he said "I think before we got this house it was clean."

Earlier, whenI asked Isaac what we should name the baby he furrowed his little brow and said "i'm just empty out of names." To be fair, we have been discussing names just about every evening. I'm kind of feeling the same way.

Sammy Happenings

Sammy seems to have designated himself as the "shoe keeper". As soon as he gets an inkling that we are going somewhere or if he hears the word shoe, he starts collecting everybody's shoes and passing them out. If you happen to be in the bathroom at the time he will kindly leave them right outside the door for you. He always gives the right shoes to the right person. I have a feeling he would be the "jacket keeper" also if he could reach them.

On another Sammy note, he has been joining the boys for their bedtime routine of stories and prayers. Now every once in awhile he will clasp his hands and either say "Jesus" or "Amen".

Pregnancy and Stuff

I have been meaning to write a "half way there" post since I hit 20 weeks. For those who aren't up to date on pregnancy talk, pregnancys are now generally measured by weeks (40) instead of the 9 months they used to be. I know this used to drive my mom crazy with her first few grandchildren, she would always ask "but how many months are you?" I think she is probably used to the weeks by now.

So anyways, I am 21.5 weeks and feeling good. This isn't surprising since I have felt good thru all my pregnancys, its the labor/delivery that always goes awry for me.

Also, I decided that even though he is going to be the fourth boy (maybe, because he is going to be the fourth boy) , I am going to get him a special outfit for coming home. I'm thinking maybe this little monkey outfit from Gymboree with matching socks - when it goes on sale of course.

Elijah Logic

Yesterday after church Elijah insisted I carry him to the van. About half way there (its a big parking lot) I said "Elijah, I have to put you down or I might drop you in a snowbank". Unphased, he replies "but you can't drop me in a snowbank because my hair is not a hat."

First Haircut

Yesterday, I gave Sammy his very first haircut. He still doesn't have a whole lot of hair, but he had lots of long strands so I decided to buzz it and make it all the same length. He sat still and was very good for the cut (it helps that he has watched his brothers get haircuts countless times). The problem was when I went to collect some hair to save in an envelope, as I saved Isaac and Elijah's first haircuts. There was no hair anywhere...not a tuft to be found. I ended up picking the hairs that stuck to the shirt he was wearing. Afterall, I don't want him asking someday why I don't have hair from his first haircut.

Baby boy #4 Posted by Hello

Friday, March 04, 2005

It was very clear...

...we are having another boy! Another boy! I wasn't really suprised, but kind of. Of course by the end of the ultrasound I was absolutely in love with him. He is measuring exactly on, and is healthy. My placenta is touching my cervix, which isn't good but most likely it will move upwards. I will have another ultrasound later on to make sure it moved. I will post pictures tomorrow, but i'm going to a women's retreat tonight and have to pack.

The boys are excited. Isaac proudly proclamied "we will have four boys!"

At least I won't be spending all of our money at Gymboree :D, goodness knows we need it for food!

Also, neither of us were feeling that we wanted this to be the last, so their is still a little bit of hope for a girl sometime. For now, we will just rejoice in our four boys.
