Artwork

This past year I haven't really posted much of the boys artwork. We didn't do as many crafts at home because they did plenty of them during Enrichment Days. Which I have to say was very nice for me, all of the fun for them and none of the mess for me! At home, though, they do a lot of drawing. Here are are two recent portraits of Mary Jane.

What a Difference a Year Makes...

One thing I love about having a blog is being about to look back. For instance, going through my archives I noticed that Sadie wore pigtails for the first time last June.

Remember those cute little things that Elijah thought looked like dog ears?

Double Special

Not only did we celebrate Father's Day today...

but our 12th anniversary too.

I was going through pictures tonight and happened to come across this. In 1995 Jeremiah and I were counselors for 6th grade camp. Wood burning was one of the activities and his aunt who was a teacher burned this onto a piece of wood for me. We didn't know at the time that little more than two years later we would be married.

I actually remember wood burning when I was a sixth grader and I enjoyed it so much that I got a wood burning kit for Christmas that year.

Library People

Yesterday, we did something we have been talking about for awhile. I brought Isaac and Elijah to the library where they turned in some paperwork and received their very own library cards. The lady at the counter told them they were now "library people" and they thought that was really funny.

They also signed up for the summer reading program while we were there.

Track and Field Day

Wow, it feels like I was just posting about last year's Track and Field day! This year I was helping with preschool so I only got to see the boys participate in the few events that were held close to where I was. The boys had a really great time. Sammy got to participate this year for the first time and won a ribbon. There are some super athletic families in our homeschool group, so winning a ribbon is not as easy as it sounds.

Here are the boys in their gunny sack races:

Sammy was our sole ribbon winner. He won 3rd in the softball throw.
