Shopping Adventures

A few days ago all of us went grocery shopping like we usually do. As we were walking into the store, a male employee was walking out. He looked at me and Sadie, stopped, held up a little black thing at his eye level for a second, turned around and walked back into the store. I was very creeped out because it appeared this man just took a picture of us! I told Jeremiah that I thought a man just took my picture. I pointed him out and Jeremiah caught up with him half way thru the store t0 ask him about this. He showed Jeremiah the little black thing and it turns out it was a pager. That would explain the sudden stop, holding up and looking at a little black thing (that just happened to be pointed at us) and turning around. I feel much better knowing there is not some weird-o working at this store taking pictures of unknowing people.

What would you do if you thought some stranger just took your picture?

Shower

My very sweet friends Melissa and Stacy (ahem...would be so nice to have blog to link to here) threw a shower for Sadie this past Saturday. As is typical of me, I brought my camera but it sat in my bag the whole time. I did manage to get a picture of the cake though. It was a great time, and as far as I know Sadie didn't even spit up on anybody.

Pictures

These amazing photos were taken by my cousin Kim, who happens to have her own photography business called Unscripted Moments Photography. I'm holding back my favorite one since many of you will be receiving that in the mail any day.

10 Years

Today we have been married for 10 years! Quite a milestone. And to mark this date as even more special, I received a call from my sister letting me know that my nephew arrived safely this morning at 3:15 a.m.

I was really wanting a nice picture of us on our 10th anniversary, but you can't be to picky when the photographer is 5 years old.

One last funny story:

Yesterday, I fired up the sewing machine for the first time in 2.5 months. I won't get into the skirt that is not magically turning into the one I envisioned. However, there was a stuffed spider-man sitting next to my machine, just waiting to have a big hole in his head repaired along with some stuffing replaced. I tried to my best but the hole was in an awkward spot to fix.

"Sorry but his head is going to look a little weird" I told Isaac.

"That's Okay" he assured me "A lot of the people I draw have weird heads"

A Month!

Wow, Sadie is a month old already. I have spent the past week saying "I can't believe it's been almost a month already!" She has been out of the preemie clothes for awhile, and i'm guessing she is now a little over 7 pounds.

Jonah has come a long way this month. When we brought her home he wanted nothing to do with her. If you even mentioned the baby to him he would get mad. This is the first time we ever had an issue like this with any of the boys. I felt like the best thing to do was not push the issue and let him adjust in his own time. He did. Now he loves to give her hugs and kisses and tries to sooth her by singing her name when she is crying.

Blog Title

One of the most frequently asked questions since January has been "what are you going to do about the title of your blog?" At first I decided I wasn't even going to worry about it until she actually came out a girl. Well...we know how that turned out. I realize that anybody who has stumbled upon my blog recently would be scratching their chin thinking "I thought this was supposed to be about raising boys?" However, I have had this blog for nearly three years, way back when I only had three boys (way back when it was still a piece of cake). I'm kind of attached to my blog title and I feel like changing it would somehow change my blog. Then again, our life has changed so of course my blog should change. Bottom line is that I have no ideas for a new title and am always open for suggestions.

Enough of that thought, lets just get to the pictures shall we?
