April Bullets

Photobucket

  • Try, try again. Last year I bought a little strawberry plant and a little lavender plant from Target's dollar section. I followed the directions and gave them lots of TLC but neither of them even sprouted. I'm trying again with another strawberry plant and a tomato plant this year.
  • April must of got my letter. It's been nice enough for us to start going outside and the boys to start riding their bikes. C-ya snow, feel free to stay away until Christmas!
  • I am in the middle of so many sewing projects right now. I really shouldn't even be writing this post! I have dresses and outfits to finish, dresses to take in, half-smocked pieces to finish ect... I'm hoping to take on more sewing orders though, so I need to get used to working it into my schedule. Pretty soon I will have an email address posted on my sewing blog for contacting me regarding having something made.
  • I know I still have to make that tote to give away! I haven't forgotten, I just have to find the right fabric. I shouldn't feel so guilty, I mean I'm giving it away, but I still feel bad that it is taking so long.
  • Several weeks ago, Rachel told us about these rolls of paper you can buy from the local newspaper (the ends that are left after the paper is printed). Now, our boys love to draw. LOVE to draw. They draw on every available scrap of paper they can get their hands on. We bought 5 of these rolls for $2 a piece. Now, they can draw to their hearts content.

Oh wow, I should check with our local newspaper! All mine love to draw too (must be in the blood) but J especially.

That's so cool that you're taking sewing orders and all! Way to go! I wish I had something where I could bring in extra income (esp. w/buying a house soon).

Hope your plants work out for you this year! And I'm praying the snow stays away from you guys! I saw its supposed to be in the 50s there today! I hope you enjoy it (although to me that is cold)!

Ooo, that's neat about the paper, I'm going to call my newspaper too!

I'm so glad that your sewing business is taking off, how cool is that! Yeah, please do not feel guilty about the tote bag, we'll be eagerly awaiting it whenever you get around to it...but if you don't that's okay too. :)

The paper rolls are fantastic! My Eli makes maps with them, some of them huge, and creates cities and farms and industrial areas and then plays on them using his cars and blocks, etc to bring 3 dimensions into it. Sammy's getting into using it now, being a big 2 & a half yr old and all. Such wonderful fun, and very creative in every way.

Wow, Amie, you have such energy!

I am glad that April has decided to be your BFF, after all. And I hope the strawberry and tomato sprout for you this year. Maybe April's kindness is a harbinger of good things in the planters?

And I am just smiling to think about your sewing business. It's great!
