You Know Your Child has Food Allergies When...
Today at library storytime they were singing a song about a man made out of food. Of course they had the children participating by having them suggest food. Chocolate! Ice Cream! Pizza! were the typical ones you could hear. Then you have Sammy who suggested...Beans!

Allergies are the worst. Jake has several allergies. What all is Sammy allergic to? For Jake it's wheat, oat, rice and soy. UGH. He CRAVES these foods too. All they do is make him SUPER hyper and hard to manage. He turns into a whole different kid.

That's so cute. I can totally relate. At a big meeting in December, each person had to introduce themselves and say their favorite holiday food. People said chocolates and all sorts of very rich foods, and I said, "Candy Canes!" I was so relieved that I could come up with one thing that was holiday oriented at all. :-)
that was me when I was little! In kindergarten I remember them going around the room, making each kid say their favorite foods. When they got to me, I said, "broccoli."
No food allergies, I'm just weird. :-)
