Different

With Sadie turning 16 months old tomorrow, it recently occurred to me that something is different. I have never had a 16 month old without another on the way already. In fact, a couple times I was already quite far along by this point. This is new and different...and I like it.

I can't wait until my sister has her baby in November. I can't wait to go see him and hold him and spoil him and...give him back. With the exception of my oldest sister, I have always been pregnant at the same time as my sisters. I have never had an opportunity to enjoy their babies without having my own tiny one. I can't wait.

I suspect some of you might not understand this. However, I trust that anybody who had five babies in 7 years knows exactly what i'm talking about.

Oh, I certainly understand this. lol! But I'm still waiting for my gap. With this new baby I will have had my 5 in 5 1/2 years! Something I never thought would happen. I am so ready for a 2 maybe even 3 year gap. :)

What'll really be wonderful is that moment when you realize that you have no babies in diapers! That fun day is coming soon to you!

One of your sisters is pregnant again? I'm actually surprised you aren't yet (in a good way, I don't want that to sound bad or negative...). I bet it is almost a relief! This 4 year gap is really weird for me;)

I only have 2 and I completely understand. It is so much fun to have a new niece or nephew and get to enjoy them. I love watching my kids with the new babies. It neat to see how they react to what happens.

Enjoy that little guy as much as you can. Because in no time at all he will be as big as Sadie and running away from you!

My gaps are bigger than yours but I do understand...I would have had them closer had I not miscarried so many times. I do feel odd not being pg now....Brennen's almost 2! BUT, I must say, having them 4.5 yrs apart.....I was almost home free with Tanner being in all day school this year. Then B came along.....While I would LOVE a girl....I wouldn't want to wait too much longer to conceive and hubby's not convinced he wants any more so it probably won't happen.

i didn't do pregnancy well, so never miss it, but definitely miss the newborn thing. Luckily I have lots of friends and family bringing little ones into the world, they help me get my new baby fix!

Hallie was almost 2 when Heidi was born and Heidi was almost 3 when Hope was born so Mine have been gapped pretty well. But I'm ready for another. Just waiting on God. I'm happy for you. Enjoy your non- pregnany with your new nephew.

I am at that point, sixteen months, where I want another baby. I felt this way at the same time with each of the boys too. I know we aren't having anymore children, but I think I am going through a mini-grieving process knowing we won't be trying/or having any babies anymore.

I am glad you get the break though.

I understand this to a small degree. Eli was 14mths when my middle nephew, Charlie, was born, and I really missed out on C. as a baby. The two boys either side were spoilt rotten by there Aunty with time just for them! And I loved it. But I made up for it with Charlie because once he could start staying overnight, he practically lived here. He & E are SO close, as thick as thieves. Now that they're at school, the visits aren't as long or as often, but our Aunty/Nephew relationship is SO special, and I just love seeing Cousins together... Glad your enjoying your 16month old in your non-pregnant state!!! Bless your heart!
