Cars and Catwalks
Hurray for a good decision we made 3.5 years ago! When we were shopping for a van, the Dodge Caravan was by far the most affordable. Some mechanic friends tipped us off that it was notorious for blowing its transmission. A few seconds of online research confirmed this. So, we purchased the extended warranty. This week our transmission went. Its covered. So is our rental vehicle.
Looks like Bekah is going to be doing a Project Runway recap each week, so if you want to discuss, head over there!

Good think you got that extended warranty!
I LOVE project runway.
Oh, good thing you got the extended warranty! transmissions are EXPENSIVE!!!
We were looking at the caravan too, because we liked the stow and go seating. But when we went they didn't have any of the dodges, but they did have the chrysler town and country (which is pretty much the same only it's supposed to be a little fancier or something) and that's what we opted for. I love it. But we have already had a recall on it and had to take it in. Geesh. Good thing for warranties!!
How many miles does it have? I heard once you hit about 70K. We're just a little past that now on ours. I am just praying that all will remain ok!
Our has 80,000
Good thing! Mine has a 100,000 mile warranty too. Thankfully we haven't needed it.
I love Dodge Caravans. We've had two of them. I'd get another in a heartbeat!
Lucky you did your research! It always pays to be safe! :o)
