If You Guessed A New Addition...

Your right! Only, its probably not the kind you were thinking of. Meet Bobby Fitzwilliam Darcy, our new beagle. We have talked about a dog off and on for years, but lately it actually felt like a dog was missing from the picture. We knew we wanted something small, with minimal shedding, and of course had to be excellent with children. After some research on the American Kennel Association website we decided on a Beagle. Finding somebody near us who had beagles was a bit harder, but we did. So here he is, our newest family member! Yes, the boys are excited as can be. Posted by Picasa

That is great -- I think kids need pets. I'm always curious about naming pets -- did he come with the name or did you name him? In any case, cool name!

Well, the boys came up with Bobby, I guess they just like the name Bobby. I tacked on Fitzwilliam Darcy as a nod to Pride and Prejudice.

Cool! Is it weird I am more excited about this than when you had your boys? Well I guess this is more unexpected, I knew you were going to have kids, but wasn't to sure about a dog. I can't wait for Bobby to meet Belle. We have LOTS of crazy puppy training tricks if you need any:-)

Denise, if there is one person I knew would be excited about this news it was you! I hope we can teach him some cool tricks, I undestand beagles are a little bit harder to train.

That's great! Another boy I am assuming? The boys will love chasing him around and probably vice versa.

LOL Boy you had me fooled. I even asked Zach if Miah said anything the other night about you being pregnant! Zach would love to get a dog, but until the kids are a bit older to help care for him I don't want one! Plus with us moving around alot, vacationing, etc, it is not feasible. Anyway, he looks like a cute little pup! I bet the boys just adore him! How fun!!! Congratulations!

Yes, it's another boy. Sandy, I told one of the neighbor boys that he can call him Bobby or Mr. Darcy. LOL he just looked at me weird. He was born on May 16th.

Jamie,
I want Jonah to have a few more months of breastfeeding before we even think about it! ;D

I know your Mr. Darcy will be better behaved than mine - mine was a cat that turned out to be psycho. (I thought he was just standoffish. Until he tried to bite Keith's face off.) To keep from having to put him down (vet's advice), we gave him to a single-guy-no-kids friend. He's still psycho, but he's met his match in Barry.

I love your pup - what a great thing for the boys. I'm sure they are all beside themselves with joy.

I've heard beagels are very good with kids, except that they're very loud and diggers. My ex-neighbor had a couple and that's all I heard constantly....awoooooooo.....all.night. long. And his yard looked like pooey after they were thru with it.

I'm sure the boys will love him....and already do.
