Ride Like the Wind
All his hard work paid off. Isaac is now riding his two-wheeler like a pro. I am so proud of this kid. It's hard watching your child learn to ride a bike. There isn't much you can do except encourage. You have to watch, knowing they are going to fall. You can't tell them how to do it, or instruct them. They just have to "get it". Last night we went for a bike ride, just us. That was a moment i've been waiting for as a parent.
Elijah wanted his training wheels off too, and we watched in amazement as he immedietly rode halfway across the lawn. He has the balance down pretty good, he just has to work on starting and stopping.

Congrats Isaac and Elijah! What a great accomplishment!!!
That's the way Jozie and Luke did it too. Luke was the first one and then Jozie immediately decided that she couldn't let her little brother get ahead of her so she needed hers off too! They were both riding on 2 wheels shortly after Lukes 3rd birthday.
It is one of those things that makes you really realize that they are gaining their independance because now thay can actually go someplace without you!
You know what we did for Girly when she wanted her wheels off? We started her on a scooter. Yah, with that she learned how to balance and with riding a bike that's all the battle right there. As soon as she got the hang of her scooter, she didn't have any problems learning to ride her bike!! I also hated to see her wipe out several times. She got some nasty cuts and bruises but she never lost her excitement to keep trying. I admire kids for that!!
That is SO cool!!
Congrats boys! You're growing up!!!
Congratulations to your boys! These little moments in childhood are so precious - the ones we will remember one day when our children are all grown up and gone away. Thanks for sharing!
Congratulations Isaac!
