Oops....

  • I let a week go by between updates. Lately, there just doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day.
  • Is anybody else awaiting the release of Breaking Dawn? Also, has anybody ever pre-ordered a book? Does it ship on the release date, or arrive on the release date?
  • Is anybody watching Project Runway? Where was the creativity last night?
  • It's the middle of July already. Time to sit down and decide what we need in the way of school supplies since the sales are starting already.
  • Baking soda works great to get marks off your wall. Just pour some on a damp cloth and scrub. It's about as abrasive as a magic eraser, but much cheaper.
  • Last week I overheard somebody on CNN say "This congress has a what...9% approval rating? 9%! The flu has a better approval rating than that". I'm not sure who said it, but I would like to thank him for the laugh.
  • My ongoing project right now is to organize my sewing area. It's a complicated area.

I cannot believe its already the middle of July. I need to find my list of school stuff to order and get on the ball...not to mention figure out what I need in the way of baby stuff.

Thanks for the FYI on baking soda...I love those erasers but its a pain when they break apart!

I am also amazed at how the summer is flying by. N. is ending his visit with family tomorrow, and flying to New Jersey for tracker camp there. And I feel like I have more topics than time to blog!

And...way to go, Sadie!

I watched PR last night. Must agree - total lack of creativity. I did like the 3 top finalists as well as the pasta dress. The yellow kimono type dress was my favorite. (can't remember the girl's name?) The cups were creative. The vacuum bags and dye and stuff were creative. That's it.

I can't imagine what would have made Stella think GARBAGE BAGS would be a good material - too "poncho" like. And Blayne... oi. I think i would have sent him home, despite the psycho-ness of Jerry's outfit. (which i think would have been better with different accessories; less scary!)

I just went school supply shopping today. The 24 packs of Crayola crayons were 22 cents each so of course I bought more than I needed so I wouldn't have to walk out of the store having saved any money. I think it was justified, though, because, in my opinion, a parent cannot have too many crayons. I love school supply shopping. I do not like school clothes shopping. I suppose you don't really have to worry about school clothes shopping. Lucky you.

Me! I can't wait until Breaking Dawn comes out. I am eyeing August eagerly!

I've pre-ordered the book, and from my experience with the Harry Potter books, you RECEIVE the book on the day of the release. Amazon and Barnes and Noble sometimes make a mistake in estimating the arrival date and ship their pre-order books too early. Which means some lucky people get their book BEFORE the release date. :-)

I've been a long time reader, but this is the first time I'm commenting-- You have such a beautiful family!

So, I'm wondering if Baking Soda will lift INK STAINS (!!!!!!) off walls. I'm going to give it a go... I've tried everything else!!! I think though, I may need to get a tub of paint and my roller brush out... I still have no idea HOW it got there, either, although, as the eldest had ink on his hands I do know WHO, but when questioned he looked as bewildered as me... and a little freaked, poor child...

I have GOT to try that baking soda idea.......I love magic erasers....they work like, well, magic!

Summer IS indeed moving by quickly. It really always does. Usually at the end of summer I am left feeling lousy that I didn't do much with the kids. I guess I should try to make some playdates....
