No Bags Under These Eyes
Today while we were grocery shopping two young women were making a fuss over Jonah. Of course, they soon noticed the other boys and did a quick head count "Oh, there's four!...boys? You have four boys?" As they walked away, one said to the other "well, she looks well rested" in a tone that implied at least she has that.
Also, for anybody who has given up checking my sewing blog, there are several recent posts. I've been busy this week.

*LOL* That's too funny! I'm glad you looked "well rested!"
I always thought the boys were easier ... I had 3 boys and 1 girl (who should have been a boy!) The boys were always easier to deal with ... 0.o
:O
How dare a mother of 4 boys look WELL rested!!!
If only people knew its not so bad and children are not such a burden.
Do people not have an tact these days?? I swear, the more time that goes by, the more rude people get. It seems people have no problem saying exactly what they think even if it may sound offensive or tacky. Why can't they just leave it at "You have such cute children" and walk away???
Heather,
It does seem that people are getting ruder. There was just an article in our paper about that. Or, is that just a sign were getting older? LOL
I should add that these were very nice women and one had a small child in her cart (maybe two). Perhaps she wasn't feeling very well rested herself? We all walked away laughing.l
You know, I think people typically assume boys are ALWAYS on the go, trouble-making, Dennis the Menace types. So, the fact that you look so well rested probably doesn't match their idea of what a mother of all boys should look like. You should look more.....exasperated....like me! LOL. My boys have been sick these past couple of weeks. Normally, I AM more well rested. But, you know how it is when the house has a bug....being the mom and all....
I'd have just said "I feel well rested, thanks for asking"...LOL
I have a friend with three boys, and one with three girls. Neither one has a more difficult time than the other, but for some reason, people definitely think boys will drive you nuts in childhood and girls will drive you nuts in the teenage years. With two boys (10,17) and one girl (15), I think I can safely say they are all quite capable, at any age, of being precious and wonderful... or of driving you nuts.
:-)
