Belly Issues (updated at end)

Only its not my belly, its Sammy's.

Four weeks ago Sammy started having diahrrea and vomiting. Of course you assume a simple virus. Two weeks later it was still happening, since most virus' should be gone withing two weeks I brought him to the pediatrician. The Dr. said that even though its been two weeks he still suspects a virus and it should start getting better, if he is not better in a week than bring him back. So a week later he seems to be getting better so we don't bring him. Than over the weekend it returned with a vengeance, which means tomorrow will be four weeks of diahrrea and occasional vomiting. Also, his poor little belly will bloat right up putting him in obvious discomfort. Its back to the doctor today. I have a feeling it might be another food issue, possibly Celiac Disease. So any prayers for Sammy's belly and that we can figure out the cause would be appreciated.

*The doctor decided we will start with stool samples to rule out virus, bacteria, and parasite. If those come back negative we will move on to more testing, including a blood test for the Celiac.

Poor Sammy! I feel so bad for kids when they get sick and there isn't anything you can do for them. I'll keep praying that they find out what it is and can make him feel better!

Sammy has been through so much medical stuff for such a little guy. I hope the docs can figure out what's wrong. *hugs*

Poor little guy! He will be in my prayers.
My brother is Celiac. I feel for poor Sammy. If it is Celiac, the one good thing is that you're finding it when he's young so that he can get used to all of the dietary restrictions as he's growing up. It took years for them to diagnose my brother and there was much damage to his body. At almost thirty he's having to totally change how he eats and that's difficult.
