Summer Reading
The boys are already in the sixth week of the library summer reading program! Where is the summer going?? They both read enough to receive their certificates a couple weeks ago (they give them after the fifth book report). Isaac has read books about dogs or birds. Elijah is a bit more eclectic.

My kiddos just got their certificates yesterday. Our DQ is also giving ice cream treats (something different for every 5 books). I love the summer reading program. I just hope NEXT summer we'll be around to take advantage of more of the activities they have. I'm hoping to make it to an African Drumming thing they have tomorrow though.
We haven't been able to do the summer reading program this summer, but it really is great! I think that with ours they get a McD's ice cream cone for every five or ten books or something....
Your boys look pretty chuffed with their certificates - Happy Little Vegemites, we'd call them over here, with grins like that!!!
I too am chuffed at the activities and resources that are available to home-educators, during and outside holiday times... we really are a blessed bunch, aren't we!!!
