Thanksgiving Poem

It's hard to believe this is already my fifth annual Thanksgiving poem!

2008

The markets may be in serious trouble,
the economy may be bursting like a bubble.
But the real things of value cannot be inflated,
the worth of true treasure cannot be downgraded.

Your portfolio might be depressing,
and the news may keep you stressing.
But if this poem finds you even mostly healthy,
then indeed you are among the truly wealthy.

Your dollars may be shrinking,
and your home value may be sinking,
but free still are hugs, air and laughter
with no commission to pay after.

Today, just rest, relax and eat
forget the crisis on Wall Street.
Today, count your blessings that cannot rust,
or be lost when a company goes bust.

Faith, Love and Joy are the greatest assets one can own,
anyone can have them, no need to apply for a loan.
So in these three you should invest,
and in the end you will be blest.

Happy Thanksgiving!
